In the midst of the Holidays with a new year upon us it is often apropos to reflect on the past and focus on the future. BTBT got started in April of 2016 and slowly but surely our goals of celebrating the wonderful libation that is craft beer are coming to fruition. We’ve come a long way but the journey has only just begun and onward it shall go to where glorious feats await.  The BTBT crew wishes you all a happy holidays and a very happy, healthy and successful new year.

Now down to business, here’s what you can expect in the early part of 2017.

BTBT Upcoming Podcast Episodes

January 7th  2017- BTBT will be hanging with the Interboro crew located on 942 Grand St., Brooklyn, NY 11211. Currently Brooklyn’s only craft brewery and distillery, they offer nine beers on tap plus a gin and tonic tap featuring their proprietary gin, Goodwin Hill. Check out last week’s blog where we sampled some of their fine offerings.

February 4th  2017 – BTBT will be an official media sponsor of the NJ Beer Expo. The crew over Starfish Junction Productions puts on some great Beer Expo’s and we expect nothing less in February. The biggest names in brewing will gather at the Meadowlands Exposition Center at Harmon Meadow, 355 Plaza Dr. in Secaucus, NJ for the seventh annual Great Beer Expo. This beer tasting extravaganza will showcase breweries from all over—offering more than 150 beers for this extraordinary tasting event. We covered the Long Island Beer Expo a few months back and we had a blast. Check out Part 1 and Part 2. Here’s the blog we did on the event.

Early 2017 - Date TBD - Long Ireland Brewery at 817 Pulaski St., Riverhead NY 11901. They’ve been distributing since 2009 and operating their own brewery since 2011. We wrote about a trip to Long Ireland over the Thanksgiving break which you can check out here. Co-Owner Greg Martin also appeared on our podcast when we covered the Great Beer Expo in Long Island, you can check that show out here.

Early 2017 - Date TBD - Wartega  is one of Brooklyn’s newest breweries located at 33 35th Street 6A, Brooklyn, NY 11232. We met co-owner and brewer Merlin, a Certified Cicerone and Recognized BJCP Judge during our podcast episode at Big Alice Brewery. Their tap room is opening in early 2017 and we can’t wait to be a part of the grand opening festivities and to sample their brews.

Other shows at breweries are in the works; stay tuned for Much, Much more in 2017!
