Happy New Year to all our fellow craft beer lovers. For our first blog post of 2018 we look back on 2017 to bring you the TOP 5 Most Downloaded Episodes as determined by you, our very fucking awesome audience. The following list contains the most downloaded shows of 2017! This weeks post is perfect for the seasoned btbt goon who’s already three 16oz cans deep right now and newbies ready to embrace the craft beer odyssey alike. So what are we waiting for, lets check out the TOP 5!

5) It’s a Tie – Home Brew and Hand Grenades and BierWax

Episode 29 sees BTBT hanging with Home Brew and Hand Grenades the famous Nassau County, Long Island Home Brew and Supply Shop. Insightful, entertaining and full of craft beer geekery – Press play and Enjoy the show!

The BTBT goons just recently wrapped up 2017 with Chris Maestro of BierWax, owner of the newest Brooklyn hot spot located at 556 Vanderbilt Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238. BierWax combines delicious local craft beer with vinyl records, many of which are from the boom bap era of hip hop. BTBT had the chance to talk to Chris about the vision, the journey and the future of BierWax. The crew also throws back some awesome local brews, chats about some of their favorite episodes of 2017 and end the show with a quick look ahead to 2018.  The episode is dope, but if you’re  hungry for more BierWax info check out this blog post where I interviewed Chris during his fund raising campaign. Lots of good info here!

4) Craft Culture

In this show the crew sits down with Ceasar Andrade owner of Craft Culture in Ridgewood, NY. We talk craft beer, business, life, philosophy and much more! Support local craft culture, Click play and share! Cheers

3) Brew For a Cure

In this episode the BTBT crew cover the 2017 Brew For A Cure home brew competition and even get in on the voting action. Special guests include home brewers and event organizers Pope and Charlie of Pope Wagon and:

Rob Neuhaus of The Brewminaries

Dave Martin of Mindful Ales

AJ D’Amico of Home Brew and Hand Grenades (who returns to show after appearing on BTBT Episode 29 – Home Brew and Hand Grenades)

and Garrett Raynis and Christopher Rotella of Two Producers Brewery

Enjoy the 2017 Brew For A Cure home brew competition show!

2) The Pittsburgh Take Over Part 1

Justin and Perry were extremely hyped about this Pittsburgh centric episode which features some very solid beers from Hitchhiker Brewing, Dancing Gnome and Fat Heads.

The Pittsburgh natives get all nostalgic as they reminisce on the past and drop the low down on the top places to drink craft beer and get craft beer cans! Peter just kicks back, slams some Pittsburgh brews and reps Queens.

The Pittsburgh take over was recorded in Brooklyn, NY. Pre-game beers included Can I Kick it by Interboro and Madd Fat Money by Interboro and Barrier.

Grab a beer or half dozen and enjoy!

Drum Roll Please…..

1) And the most downloaded episode of 2017 was – Episode 40 – Absurd Conclave part 2

In this episode we bring you part 2 of the charity event in Bushwick, Brooklyn recorded on site at Absurd Conclave.  We pick right up right where we left off inebriated and opinionated! And we get to hang with some awesome special guests which include:

Johnny Rivera of Brooklyn Coquito who talks to us about his very own Coquito brand.

Rebecca Villacis co-owner of the sibling owned Absurd Conclave and Juice Garden BK.

Absurd Conclave is a 5,000 sq foot venue available for events, work shops, festivals, art galla’s and more in the heart of the trendy Bushwick scene located at 360 Jefferson St, Lower Level, Brooklyn, NY 11237.

We also had a chance to sit down with the First Lady of BTBT the vivacious Rachael Spanos who is also a co-owner of Absurd Conclave and Juice Garden BK. Check out the interview here!

You can also check out what Rachael had to say about Absurd Conclave, Juice Garden BK and more during The 2nd Annual Beer In The Gardens Show .
